Treasures of the Forest

Hidden to the hurried eye

My whole life I have been hiking in the woods but it’s only recently that I really started noticing these amazing treasures that are absolutely vital for healthy forests. They are so easy to miss, but once you start looking for them, it’s all you see ❤ The array of colors and shapes is mind-boggling. Their importance in the cycle of life is beyond my current comprehension and I crave learning more. For now, I can admire their beauty and simply be in awe and watch as tiny insects or snails or whatnot traverse these sculptures and take in their nourishment.
