These cards feature scans and close-ups of some of my monoprints. Some have blank interiors, and some have lightened images of the print as background.

Wild Yellow
This card features detail of this monoprint I did on March 14, 2024, using yellow acrylic paint and red and black alcohol ink on a gel plate. It was the first time I went out on a limb and “went wild,” not expecting how good it would actually turn out, considering yellow is one of my least favorite colors 🙂

Deep Emotion
It is ironic to me that most of my monoprints tend toward the warm reds, as my favorite colors “in real life” are shades of green. This detail from a monoprint from March 24, 2024 is one of my favorites for the emotion that it evokes in me. It feels like I am looking through it through wisps of glowing clouds to something beyond that is just emerging in sight.

Untitled
Ghost prints are one of my favorite features of gel plate printing. Sometimes paint is left behind after the original pull, leaving unpredictable patterns. This paint can be left to dry and then pulled with another layer of very thin paint, as I did here in this print.

Gel Plate Monoprint 3/2/24
I wish I had come up with a better name for this card, which shows close-up detail of this print which features intuitive scripting and marks made with found objects to create layers of an untranslatable message.
